29-year-old female referred by orthodontist for management of #14 prior to orthodontic treatment. Clinical and radiographic evaluation revealed a vertical defect associated with marginal ridge discrepancy. Guided tissue regeneration was performed with thorough debridement of residual root fragments and granulation tissue, followed by placement of an allograft and collagen membrane. At 4 months, radiographic bone fill was evident, allowing orthodontic therapy to be initiated shortly after.
